About
Workshop Overview: This four-week online workshop helps small, and/or beginning Black-owned businesses understand the media marketing basics needed to create a professional, consistent, and culturally authentic presence online. Participants will learn how to clarify their brand message, choose the right media channels, create simple content, engage customers, and measure what is working without needing a large budget or advanced marketing experience. The workshop is designed for entrepreneurs who are launching or newly growing a business and need clear guidance on websites, social media, email, content planning, customer trust, and brand storytelling. It emphasizes practical action, community-centered marketing, and sustainable routines that busy business owners can maintain. Target Audience • Black-owned small businesses, especially those in the startup or early-growth stage • Solo entrepreneurs, microbusiness owners, and founders with small teams • Businesses with limited marketing budgets and limited time for content creation • Product-based, service-based, local, online, or community-centered businesses • Owners who want to build credibility and visibility but are unsure where to begin
